Sales Terms and Conditions (Close this Window to return to Orders Page) I. ARTWORK AND PRODUCTION 1. Production: Production lead time starts when final approved artwork is in our possession. Customers MUST include REQUIRED BY date with their order as it is our goal to produce all orders to your schedule. We do not believe in rush charges but if it is necessary to schedule overtime or weekend working to accommodate an order that requires a quick turn-around then additional charges could apply. 2. Artwork: The final product is directly related to the quality of the artwork provided. SCANNER-READY: High contrast black and white artwork on paper or art board containing no fuzzy areas and bearing sharp, precisely defined edges and outlines. COMPUTER DISK:
Computer generated art should be supplied on CD and must be in AppleMac
compatible format. Software used should be either Photoshop, Illustrator
or CorelDraw. Logos need to be scanned as black and white lineart at 1200
dpi. It is essential that a proof of the file and all fonts (printer as
well as screen fonts) including any imported graphics (cuts/clipart) accompany
the order and disk.
ART TRANSFERS: Art may be sent via e-mail to our design
department at mccallum@gallowayglass.com. Please attach your company details
as well as a contact name. Galloway Glass reserves the right to clean up artwork
without prior notification if necessary and will assess a charge for this service.
When customer artwork is produced or finished by our staff a charge of £ 36.00
per hour will be made. 3. Customised inscriptions: Single initials either ornate
or copperplate will be engraved for no additional charge. For longer inscriptions
please consult your price list. 4. Multiple sided engraving: Please consult your price
list for charges applicable to extra engravings per item.
5. Engraving area: On handled items such as tankards
please specify either "Side 1" facing away from right-handed drinker or "Side
2" facing away from left-handed drinker. Orders for all handled items are engraved
as "Side 1" unless specified. Please note that the engraving area on curved
items such as bowls is limited and double sided engraving may have to be used
in some circumstances to engrave the requested information. 6. Special samples: We reserve the right to charge the
full cost of any items and the shipping charges involved for any specifically
engraved samples. 7. About crystal and glassware: Quality control standards
are maintained on all items to provide appealing cost-effective products. Many
of the products in this line of fine crystal and glassware are individually
made and may contain bubbles, flow lines or slight bumps on the rim. Blank size
and colour variations may occur within an order and from order to order. These
qualities are considered to be the definitive way of identifying a glass product
which has been handcrafted. We do not consider these to be defects and will
not consider them as reasons for replacement. II SHIPPING 1. Shipping and delivery charges: All orders are shipped
FOB Dumfries. When shipping by air dimensional weights may apply to master cartons. 2. Freight claims, breakage and shortage: Title of the
goods passes to the buyer at the FOB point and goods are shipped at the buyer’s
risk. We cannot guarantee on-time delivery nor safe carriage of goods. In the
event of breakage customers must notify the workshop in Beeswing of the damage
within 7 days of receipt (UK deliveries) and 3 days (overseas shipments) as
our carriers require that damage claims be filed by us on your behalf.
III SERVICES 1. Packaging: We are able to provide custom packaging
for your orders. Contact the workshop in Beeswing for a quote for set-up of
gift boxes, presentation packaging, gift cards or in box customisation. 2. Gift wrap: Contact the workshop in Beeswing for a
quote. 3. Product specifications: All product sizes, capacities,
etc are approximate and are subject to change without notice. Country of origin
may change based on item availability 4. Trademarks: All liability for the proper use of a
trademark rests with the customer. We reserve the right to photograph or show
as samples any item produced by us without any liability on our part as to the
trademark or artwork rights. All the logos shown in our catalogue are from our
customers and are used for display purposes only. No endorsement of products
should be implied therefrom. 5. Order acknowledgements: Acknowledgements are supplied
by email or fax when requested only. 6. Artwork proofs and previews: On request we can supply
a proof of any artwork set up for you prior to the engraving of your order.
We can also supply you with a simulation of your finished, engraved product.
Both these services are available by email only. 7. Legal compliance and acceptance of terms: The company
accepts all orders as being submitted in full compliance with all applicable
laws and with full awareness of and agreement with any industry terms and conditions
as well as this general information. 8. Trading terms: Credit accounts may be opened on supply
of the usual trade and bank references. We reserve the right to add a finance
charge of 5% per month to any account over 30 days old unless pre-negotiated.
We also accept payment with order by cheque or credit card (VISA and Mastercard).
